To test the siren to ensure it is working, press until “TIME” is displayed.



Press or arrow until “ALT TEST” is displayed.



Press button to sound the siren, then again to silence the siren.



Press to exit

defeating an alert siren



Press button until “TIME” is displayed.



Press or arrow until “DEFEAT SIREN” is displayed.



Press and then arrow to scroll through pre-dened event codes.



Press for each event code relevant to your area to manually “ENABLE” or “DISABLE” (if you select “ENABLE”,

the event alert remains on; if you select “DISABLE”, the event alert will turn off), using the arrow.



Press after each setting change.



Press to exit.

notes: The DEFEAT SIREN feature relates to an event, which may occur in a specic area, but might not be relevant to all residents.

For Example: AVW=Avalanche Warning. If you live in a county where avalanches can occur, but you are not located in a mountainous

part of that county, you can DISABLE this event using the DEFEAT SIREN function. See Selectable Alert Reference Chart for listing

of pre-dened events in alphabetical order to determine which events can be disabled.

You cannot defeat event alerts marked with an asterisk “*” in the Selectable Alert Reference Chart.
